Here are some frequently asked questions (FAQs) that we've assembled. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please don't hesitate to contact our support team at support@jampaq.com.

How long after I order do I receive a registration code.
 
Some of our earlier products use a registration code scheme that does not allow us to fill the order immediately.  Those products are marked as "Developer will deliver registration code within 2 days" on sites such as Palmgear.com or Handango.com.  We normally get registration codes out to our customers within the same day of ordering.

Our newer releases will use a new system to deliver your registration code immediately when you order the software.  This gets you up and running quickly with your newly purchased software.

The registration code I received doesn't appear to work.
The registration code you receive is based solely on your HotSync ID (for Palm OS users) or your owner name for Pocket PC and Smartphone users.  When you purchase the software, you must enter the name exactly as it appears.  Even extra spaces in the name can make the difference.  If your code does not work, verify you are typing in the proper code.  If so, and it still doesn't work, please contact our support team at support@jampaq.com and we will resolve your problem as quickly as we can.
How do I install your software on my handheld device. I downloaded a .zip file..now what?
When you download our software, you will typically obtain it in one of three ways.  A .zip file, a .prc file, or a .cab file.  Both Palm OS and Pocket PC (and Smartphone) can be downloaded in .zip file format.  This is a compressed format for distribution on the internet.  You will need an uncompressing software, such as WinZip available free from WinZip corporation at http://www.winzip.com

The .prc file is destined for  a Palm OS based device.  If you've downloaded a program with this extension, or have extracted it from the .zip file distribution, simply double click on it.  This will launch your Palm OS software manager, and allow you to sync your device and install the software.

The .cab file is destined for either Pocket PC device or Smartphone device. To install this software, you need to copy the file from your desktop onto your Pocket PC or Smartphone device.  Once on the device, use the device's file explorer and tap on the file to install.

Pocket PC and Smartphone users that download the .zip file will find a setup.exe file inside the .zip distribution. Extract all the files in the .zip file and double-click on setup.exe file.  Make sure your device is docked, and it will go through a setup installation automatically.

Where can I find instructions on your software.
All of our software products have built-in help instructions.  You will either find a button the main screen labeled "help", or you can find it under the menu.  For Pocket PC and Smartphone devices, the menu will be in the lower left (for Pocket PC) and at the two soft-button locations on a Smartphone. 

On a Palm OS device, you can pull up the help by going to the Palm menu.  You can find this button in the lower-left corner of the grafitti area.  Check your user's manual for more information on where your "menu" button is located.

How do I upgrade to a newer version of Jampaq software titles.
Once you've purchased any of our products, you are entitled to free lifetime updates.  Just check back on our website for new product versions.  It is best to un-install or remove the program from your device before installing the new version.  If you've already registered the software, you will not have to re-enter your registration information.  It will automatically carry over to the new version.
What is your software registration policy
Software registration codes purchased are identical to any other software product on the market.  You are entitled to use it on only one device.  You cannot transfer or copy the registration code to any other person. You are given one license per device.  If you change devices, or change your username or HotSync id for any reason, and your registration codes do not work anymore, please contact us at support@jampaq.com and we will try to make arrangements to obtain another code.
Can I get a refund on your software?
Some of our software products offer a trial version that allows you to use the software for a limited amount of time.  After that time period, you must register or purchase the software in order to keep using it.  Other products do not have a trial version, and must be purchased in order to use them. 

For all of our products we offer a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied for any reason, and would like a refund, you can do so within 30 days of your initial purchase.  We will refund your money, no questions asked.  We only ask that if you are requesting a refund because of a problem with the software that you let us know what the problem is so that we may address it.
